The 4+1 Commitment
TEKIMAX is a signatory. Employers who sign pledge to adopt at least one of four policies, and to consider joining a government spouse employment programme. Military spouse unemployment has sat above twenty percent for decades, and the causes are structural: frequent moves, the job market within reach of a base, and who carries the household when a partner deploys.

- 4. Provide paid or permissive Permanent Change of Station leave
+1 Consider joining an existing government spouse employment programme, such as the Military Spouse Employment Partnership or the Military Spouse Career Accelerator Pilot.
If you are starting out
The apprenticeship is a different door into the same building, and it is open. It is paid work on real client projects from the first week, with a mentor beside you, and you advance by showing what you can do.
